• Founded in 1903 Letchworth was the world’s first Garden City.
• It was the vision of Ebenezer Howard for a self contained community surrounded by green belt.
Letchworth was very influential in town planning and many features of towns we take for granted today were pioneered in Letchworth.
I offer a 75 minutes walk around the centre of Letchworth. But this can be extended to 90 minutes or 2 hours to explore further afield depending on your requirements.
Alternatively I can offer a coach tour of Letchworth
You could make a full day of it by combining a visit to Letchworth with a visit to the world’s second garden city – Welwyn Garden City. (transfer by coach or train – both take 24 minutes).
